StartEarly! Young Entrepreneur Essay Competition announced to encourage today's students to become tomorrow's entrepreneurs, high school and post secondary students eligible for prize money, entry deadline March 25, 2008.
The Rockville Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the StartEarly! Young Entrepreneur Essay Competition for high school and post secondary students in Montgomery County, Maryland in conjunction with the 9th Annual Women in Business 2008 Business Development Conference to be held Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at the Montgomery County Conference Center.
The purpose of the competition is to encourage today's students to become tomorrow's entrepreneurs.
ESSAY TOPIC: Present your idea for a business that you would love to start and how you would get customers to buy from you.
FORMAT: 2 pages or less, typed in MS Word. Student's name must be on each page. Student must include a cover page with student's name, school and expected year of graduation, and the student's (or if student is not 18 years or older, then the student's parent or legal guardian's) name, address, phone number, and e-mail address.
DEADLINE: March 25, 2008
JUDGING: The submissions will be judged on originality, expression of ideas, presentation, and entrepreneurial vision. Judging will be done by members of the Rockville Chamber and the Washington Business Journal.
